TVS Apache RTR 180 Description
By virtue of being the most powerful bike launched in India by TVS, the TVS Apache RTR 180 has all the technical attributes that are required now a days. It takes a bit of time to notice the changes made in it, for it is almost an image of RTR 160. The slew of new elements that are added include the beast inspired headlamps, sculpted digital display, roto petal disc brakes and front cowl. The LED light guide is combined with new pilot lamps to form a pair of intense animalistic eyes, which turns on with ignition, night, or day.
The sculpted digital display adds to its new muscled styling as it contains a new nocturnal blue backlit, display, countdown on ignition, speedometer, and race inspired carbon fibre cues. The sporty looks of TVS Apache RTR 180 are maintained by racing graphics at the front fender and racing strips on its black alloy wheels. The bigger muscled tank shrouds are designed to combat wind resistance that helps in reducing the engine heat by a spectacular 10 degree Celsius and makes the bike look all aggressive and aerodynamic. Complementing the styling of the bike, a gold finish is given to the front forks and rear shockers. The engine generates a raw power of 17.03 BHP and has the best in class power to weight ratio. The sportiest thing present in TVS Apache RTR 180 is the engine cowl.
The sporty decals on the rear cowl makes for the sporty feature at the back. The split grab rail, muscled tail cowl, and short rear fender add the macho character. The muscled tail cowl has a radical race design that is lighter chiselled tail and has a tri-coloured race insignia. The mileage factor is around 42-46kmpl on the highways and can vary from 38-40kmpl in the city. The driving experience is enhanced by a well-cushioned seat and clip on the handle bar that makes for a nice grip. TVS Apache RTR 180 has a wheelbase of 1300mm that helps in offering better stability than before as few stability complaints were made before. The handling is accurate as it turns and steers properly even at high speeds.
Precisely with an impressive performance and premium features, the bike is a good choice to go for but has weakness too, as it finds hard to stay grounded at high speeds due to its lightweight and soft suspension.
