Royal Enfield, the UK based bike major continues to flourish on the motto "Made like a gun, goes like a bullet." The company has launched an advanced model of its legendary Royal Enfield Bullet named Royal Enfield Bullet Electra Efi, which comes with an all-new engine having hydraulic tappets. This advanced version of Bullet Electra does not flaunt any change in design but comes with a lot many new features. This bike sports a 4-stroke, single cylinder engine with a displacement of 499cc. Its engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox which has one gear down and four gears up-shift pattern and features a seven plate wet clutch for smooth performance. This engine has the capacity of producing 27.2BHP of power at a rate of 5250RPM and the maximum torque output of 41.3Nm at a rate of 4000RPM. This bike can generate a top speed of 82kmph and with its commodious 14.50litres fuel tank capacity, gives a mileage of 40kmpl. Overall standing tall and huge, the dimensions of this bike measure 2200mm x 800mm x 1120mm (L x W x H) and a weight of 185kg. The ground clearance projected by the bike is 135mm and the wheelbase is of 1370mm. This bike supports an efficient suspension as well as braking system to ensure smoother and comfortable ride. It has telescopic forks of 35mm with a suspension travel of 130mm at the front and an adjustable preload with 5-step adjustable twin gas charged shock absorbers with a suspension travel of 80mm at rear. The Royal Enfield Bullet Electra Efi has disc brake of 280mm with 2-piston calliper at the front wheel along with single lead internal expanding drum brake of 153mm at the rear wheel. The size of the front tyre is 90/90-19 and that of the rear is 100/90-19. To make this bike more heart winning, the company has given circular headlight with twin pilot lamps, to offer a safer ride at night. The pilot lamps at the front comprise of a halogen lamps of 60W/55W and a tail lamp of 21W/5W at the back. A 14Ah battery has been provided along with 12volts of DC electrical system. This rider might feel a bit of stiffness on long rides but no such worries on short rides.
