Overall Review

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Honda Company, Limited, Japan. HMSI was founded in the year 1999 which became the fourth venture in India by Honda automotive. The names after which this new venture came to existence are Hero Honda, Kinetic Honda Motor Ltd and Honda Siel Cars India. HMSI is a successful venture and selling some of the most beloved and trustworthy two-wheelers in the country consists of following names,  Aviator, Activa, Dio, Unicorn, Shine, CBF 125 Stunner, CB Twister, Dream Yuga, CBR250R, and CBR150R. The latest addition to the family is the all new CB Trigger 150 which falls in the 150cc to 180 cc segment of bikes. The bike is introduced to the market to give a close competition to its segment of bikes, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Discover 150; Yamaha FZS and Fazer Sports, Hero MotoCorp Impulse, Hunk and Extreme; TVS Apache series, and Suzuki GS150R.

The new comer is heavily inspired by the company’s current running model, CB Dazzler, or we can say it is a cosmetic upgrade of the latter. CB Dazzler's performance in the market was not satisfactory and its sales is considerably low. Thus, Honda has introduced a refined version of this bike which has got looks, style and better features. Some specifications of the CB Trigger are similar to the Dazzler, but on an overall basis it has surely made a great difference. The new machine comes with an amazing feature of Combi Brake System which reduces the deceleration time of the vehicle and Honda is the first company to bring this feature in an Indian bike. It also feature an all in one digital instrument panel which consists of fuel gauge, odometer, tachometer, trip meter and speedometer.

Honda CB Trigger 150 has been made available in three variants, which are CB Trigger Standard, CB Trigger Deluxe and CB Trigger CBS. All of the three systems have a little difference in their braking systems. The Standard variant is equipped with a front disc brake but at the rear, drum brakes has been fitted. The Deluxe version comes with both, rear as well as front disc brakes, while the CBS model has been blessed with Combi Brake System, which controls both the rear and front disc brakes together. There will be a difference in pricing of these models of around 2 to 3 thousand rupees. Honda CB Trigger CBS will be the top model followed by CB Trigger Deluxe and then by CB Trigger Standard according to it.

Mileage and Fuel Economy

With the top class technologies gifted to Honda CB Trigger 150, the company claims that the mileage or the fuel consumption will be 60 Kmpl.  Honda fits in a carburetor at a place of a fuel injector to keep the prices in the check as the Indian market is a cost sensitive market. Honda also uses a viscous air filter, which is much better than the conventional air filter, improves the performance of the engine. There is a 12 liters capacity of the fuel tank, which will be suitable for a long journey.

Colors

Honda CB Trigger 150 has breathtaking looks. The design of the bike must have been selected after a lot of considerations.
