Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is backing up quickly in the markets of India in the two wheeler segment after its separation from Hero. Honda has introduced many bikes and scooters in India which are performing well. Honda has shocked the people of India by introducing an affordable sports bike which comes from the world famous CBR family. The bike inspired from the racing beasts of Honda Motors. The new entry is named as Honda CBR 250R as it is a 250cc bike. The bike is very much affordable as its competitor Kawasaki Ninja which is also a 250 cc bike but its price is much more than this new super bike. This bike is made available in two variants which have difference of the presence and absence of Anti-lock Braking System. The bike has superb built and the technology incorporated in it is also admirable. The bike has an effective engine which is also fuel efficient. The looks of the machine are brawny and aggressive. The bike has great features such as analogue plus digital instrument cluster, fuel injection, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, under seat storage, split seat with combined grab rail, low seat height, single-shock pre-load adjustable rear suspension and counterbalance shaft. The perfectly designed fairing of the bike allows engine cooling and rider comfort, along side providing a great sports bike style.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
With a single cylinder engine the new Honda CBR 250R is able to deliver a convincing mileage of about 25kmpl on the roads of the city and on the highways or traffic free roads, the can give up to 35kmpl. The fuel tank of the bike can hold a minimum of 13 liters of fuel.
Honda CBR 250R comes in single shades while the other variant comes with glossy colour combinations and an incredible new Repsol replica version. CBR 250R comes in Candy Rudy Red, Sword Silver and Asteroid Black Metallic. The bike has all black theme covering engine, alloy wheels, muffler and some other parts which accompanies the plain shades and makes the vehicle look more pleasing.

The sports bike with 250cc DOHC engine is very well built, the maximum net power output by it is 25BHP which comes out at rev up of 8500RPM with the utmost torque value of 23Nm which comes out at rev up of 7000 rpm. Honda CBR 250R is very comfortable and soothing. The pro-link rear suspension of the ride gives a smooth ride which in takes all the bumps of the road. The front telescopic fork equipped in the bike gives nice stability to the rider. The split seat with combined grab rails and passenger foot pegs makes the ride comfortable for the passenger. The ignition type of the bike is computer-controlled digital transistorized with electronic advance. The valve train available is a DOHC with four valves per cylinder.
The wheels of the bike are 5 spoke alloy wheels which are included in all black theme with engine and other parts. The measurements of the tyres are, front one is a 10/70-17 inches radial and tubeless tyre while the rear one is a wider 140/70-17 inches radial and tubeless tyre. The rear wheel is a bit wider and of radial type which will increase the road grip of the vehicle. The wheels of the bike are also equipped with single 296mm disc at the front wheel and single 220mm disc at the rear wheel.
Honda CBR 250R is very comfortable due to its suspensions which are, the front suspension is 37mm fork which has a 4.65 inches of travel while the rear suspension is pro-link single shock with five positions of spring preload adjustability which has a 4.07 inches of travel.
Handling and Control
The disc brakes equipped at both the wheels gives Honda CBR 250R a great controlling over it and makes the rider confident on higher speed as well. The single shock pre-load adjustable rear suspension gives a stable and smooth ride bike making the handling better. The counter balance shaft makes the bike run smooth and quick.
