Mahindra Duro Dz Description
The refreshed and improved Mahindra Duro Dz is the maker's biggest expectation in the 125cc segment it targets. This bike has been aimed for the scooter lovers and specially the feminine gender and the purpose of the bike offer the features, which might not available in other scooters. It is best suited for the urban terrains, however, it can also being run well on broken terrains. Let us try to know what are the other features it has to offer to its fans. The Duro Dz is powered by a 4 stroke, mono-cylinder engine with a displacement of 124.6 cc. The air-cooled and DI engine scoops out a maximum power production of 8bhp at 7000rpm, and its peak torque out put is 9.0Nm at 5500rpm. This engine can offer strong pick-up and robust acceleration. Its engine is certainly powerful, however, it has been detuned better fuel-efficiency, and it will not make you feel the full force of its 125cc capacity. In terms of fuel-efficiency, this two-wheeler can deliver a little low mileage of 40-42kmpl on the traffic packed roads of a city, and it gets a little better on highways by delivering around 50 kmpl. But the mileage is still not as better as Honda Activa.
The new Mahindra Duro Dz features a suspension with telescopic and hydraulic at the front and at the rear respectively, which help to get a smooth ride even in bumpy roads. While manoeuvring at the top speed, the stands firm. As far as the braking system of this scooter, it comes with 130 mm dia drum at both the ends respectively to power its braking system. The speed of the scooter is a little less comparatively. It can go up to the top speed of only 80kmph, which is not again too impressive. The design of Mahindra Duro Dz is all conventional and conservative. Mahindra played safe while designing it and avoided taking risk by revamping from head to toe. Nevertheless, it does not mean that there is nothing in this two-wheeler, which we can not talk about. For instance, it shows its close resemblance to Duro. The new clear-lens headlight is sleek, which offers better road illumination. Its front is pleasing. Although, this vehicle is decent, however, there are other scooter who are coming with better mileage, agility and performance. It is better then previous offerings of Mahindra. Honda Activa, Hero Maesto and Yamaha Ray will be its biggest threats.
