16 September 2013: After launching Yamaha Fz 16, the company launched Yamaha Fz S today. It is an enhanced variant of Fz 16 that comes equipped with a front visor. It was first launched in March 2009 and is continued to be manufactured in the country. This bike has amazing design and a powerful engine. The bike is blessed with five manual gears with constant wet multi plate clutch and diamond type chassis. The overall dimensions of the bike that is, the length, width and height are 1975mm X 770mm X 1045mm. The weight of the bike is approximately around 135kg, while the wheelbase and ground clearance are 1335mm and 160mm respectively. Yamaha FZ S carries a big fuel tank that can store 12litres of petrol. Yamaha has offered a maintenance free battery, five spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres sizing at 100/60- 140/60mm. Talking about the fuel economy, Yamaha FZ S promises to deliver a mileage of 36kmpl in city conditions and 47kmpl on highways. The bike can attain a speed of 0 to 60kmph in 5 seconds with a top speed of 115kmph. Putting some light on the active and passive features present on the Yamaha FZ S, it contains a telescopic front suspension and a mono cross rear suspension, 267mm hydraulic disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. Coming to the comfort and convenience features, the bike comes with a digital fuel gauge, a self-start ignition, a digital tachometer, a single digital trip meter, a digital speedometer, low fuel indicator, pass light and LED illuminator. Keeping in mind the passenger comfort and convenience, the bike has a passenger footrest and a step up seat.
