Hero Honda Glamour Fi Description
Hero Glamour is considered as the most successful 125cc bike of Hero. A new and upgraded version of Glamour is in news these days, which comes in the commuter segment. This commuter targets the mass buyers who look for a bike which should be powerful and fuel-efficient too. Does this two-wheeler has the ability to serve such buyers? Also, would it be efficient enough when driven on different terrains? Let us find out. Hero Glamour Fi boasts a 4 stroke, mono-cylinder engine with a 124.8cc displacement. The air-cooled and OHC engine scoops out a maximum power of 9 bhp arrives at 7000 rpm with a peak torque of 10.35 Nm is available at 4000 rpm. The rich power is sent to the back wheel via a belt to a 4 speed manual gearbox, which has all gears shift-pattern. It is also equipped with fuel-injection technology. The mileage is the key feature of this two-wheeler. It can deliver 60 to 65 kmpl in city condition and on wider and smoother roads of a highway, it can deliver around 70 kmpl. Its mileage is better than the other variants of the bike. The comfort of the Hero Glamour Fi lies in its very well equipped suspension system with telescopic front forks and hydraulic shock absorbers at the bottom for comfortable rides on various terrains. Its well-padded seat is comfortable enough and to give a relaxed posture, it has foot pegs set brilliantly. The handle bar buttons are easy to use.
In terms of speed, this two-wheeler offers a top speed of 94 kmph and it reaches up to the mark of 0-60 kmph in 7.5 seconds, which is less than its rivals. The power and weight ratio of the bike is not very impressive. Other than the optional front disc brake of 240mm, the standard variant has drum brakes of 130mm on its both ends. The design of Hero Glamour Fi is not as glamorous as its name but has acceptable looks. It looks better than before, especially the front, which has been styled to give it a new look. The appearance too is not very outstanding, however, it is better than its other variants. It does not have sporty look as the young generation looks for. A better engine could have changed the whole scenario of the bike. This vehicle has its direct confrontation with the two-wheelers like new Discover 125ST and Honda Shine which are already doing well in the commuter segment.
