The forthcoming two-wheeler, Honda Lead 125, is already in buzz due to its well-hyped features, which make everyone expect this scooter to be launched in India soon. Being called Lead 125 in other countries, it might be called Fire 125 in India. Already made available in Vietnamese market, it seems the manufacturer has built it up for the youth. This scooter is especially meant for city terrains. It comes with an advanced technology with good looks.
The scooter is powered by a 125cc engine, with a Programmed Fuel Injection system (PGM-FI) that delivers stable engine performance with better mileage. The engine displacement of the vehicle is around 124.92cc. This single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine scooter produces a maximum power of 11.33bhp at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 11Nm at 6500rpm. The manufacturer has adopted the idling stop system, which will further improve fuel-economy. The 4 Stroke bike is built with a 52.4mm cylinder bore and 57.9mm stroke. It will be available in both Electric as well as Kick Start options. The fuel storage capacity of this bike is 5.3litres.
The smart features like ACG threads, which make starting the scooter consume less energy and Friction Reduction Technology with the help of Honda EcoTechnology, reduces friction between various parts. A combination of both makes it more fuel-efficient. As per the Indian requirements, the company will not make any major change in the two-wheeler since it already comes loaded with technologies to make it highly fuel-efficient.
It comes with a suspension system, which is powered by Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type at both rear and front parts. Its braking system has a 130mm CBS drum brake at the front and the same 130mm Drum brakes at its rear for more safety. The scooter is easy to ride on as it has an automatic clutch system including a V-Matic gearbox. The engineers focussed on the styling of this Scooter very much. It is believed that it will be provided with a 5 spoke wheel for enabling it with a good sporty look. A 90/100-10 53J Tubeless tyres will be attached to it with a wheel base of 1273mm. The LED Tail lamps give more attraction to this vehicle and make it highly visible at night. There is a V-shaped thick chrome strip with integrated indicators by the side of the chrome strip. In terms of Luggage, this new Honda LEAD 125 is able to accommodate two helmets as well, which is 37 liters of storage space under the seat. There are digital and manual tachometer available on the central console of the bike.
Lead 125 is expected to reach the targets of the company, since this is a fuel-efficient bike available at an affordable price. The bike is going to provide a good competition to all the other models like Piaggio’s Vespa, LML Star 4T and other scooters in the same segment.
