Casio Exilim EX ZS100 Description
Casio's latest, the Exilim EX-ZS100, has stirred the cam market quite a bit by its number of impressive features. Starting from the 14MP and adding 12.5x optical zoom (sure to promise a perfect snap). The outstanding point of plaudits, however, is the Silent Mode, which reduces the noise created by the camera to avoid while filming in the wild where, quietness is essential, not to disclose your presence among the wild. This model comes with 13.6MB of flash memory built in, which means you can record without using a memory card. Even when using flash memory, however, you still need to set the correct date before recording. If you do not set the date, folders that the camera builds automatically will not be named accordingly. It comes with a 24mm wide angle lens and 720p HD movie mode.
The ZS100 is ideal for photography in museums, churches or temples where unwanted noise is not at all tolerated. The silent mode disables the flash, making the process of taking an image far less give away of your photographing. Apart from that, a 2.7inch LCD screen and an Advanced Easy mode are packed in as well. USB charging and USB tracking, is added too, making it a must have. The file format for still images is JPEG (Exif Ver. 2.3), DCF2.0, and DPOF. Movies can be shot in Motion JPEG, AVI format and IMA-ADPCM (monaural). The Audio (Voice Recording) is done in WAV format (monaural).The recording media for Casio Exilim EX ZS100 is an impressive 13.6MB built-in flash memory, SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card and is also SDXC Memory Card compatible. It has a built in Auto Calendar upto the year 2049. It is capable of showing world time of around 162 cities in 32 time zones along with the cities name, date, time and where applicable, also shows the summer time. The external connection terminal which is very important, to transfer and safe guard data n the go, Casio has kept that in mind and has given us compatibility with USB port -Hi-Speed USB compatible as well as USB charging, plus AV output terminal (NTSC/PAL). The Microphone is monaural, which is okay because the speakers are monaural as well. The Power Source for the stylish camera is a rechargeable lithium ion battery (NP-80) x1, and comes with a power Consumption of about 3.7V DC, which is approximately 2.8W. The playback functions of the Casio Exilim are Playback Zoom(8X), with a 25-image Screen packed with BGM Slideshow, Start-up Images, Rotate, Re-size, Trimming and Copy features. And the story doesn’t end here it boasts of being Eye-Fi Wireless Card compatible, Video Output (NTSC/PAL), PictBridge, Focus Frame Customization, Key Customization as well. The viewfinder of the camera is through a LCD monitor. All in all this piece of machine should be a pleasure to own.
