Casio Exilim EX ZS12 Description

Casio Exilim EX ZS12 comes with a 2.7 inch TFT colour LCD screen that works with 230000 dots and allows the user to click pictures at a resolution of 16.1 megapixels. The device works with a image sensor of 1/2.3-inch square pixel CCD. Still images support the formats JPEG (Exif Ver. 2.3), DCF2.0, DPOF while movies support  Motion JPEG, AVI format, IMA-ADPCM (monaural).   The 46 MB built-in  flash memory is backed by the various recording media memory card including SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card, SDXC Memory Card.  As far as recording capacity is concerned, the built-in flash memory allows the user to take an approximate of 8 shots in fine mode and 12 shots in normal mode. The SD memory card of 16 GB on the other hand allows the user to take an approximate 2791 shots in fine mode along with 4191 shots for normal mode. For movies the user gets a maximum recording time per file of 29 minutes whereas the built-in flash memory lets them have an approximate 10 seconds recording which is not much. The SD memory card lets the user record for an approx. 17 minutes and 9 seconds.


The device comes with various white balancing options including Auto WB, Daylight, Overcast, Shade, Day white Fluorescent, DaylightFluorescent,Tungsten, manual WB. The device comes with Contrast Detection Auto Focus type whereas the various focusing modes include Auto Focus, Macro Mode, Infinity mode, Manual focus. For exposure metering the user gets Multi pattern(center weighted for some BS scenes) by CCD and  Program AE for exposure control. The device also comes backed by the exposure compensation of -2.0EV to +2.0EV (in 1/3EV steps). The device comes with a CCD electronic shutter and mechanical shutter where the shutter speed for auto mode is 1/2 to 1/2000 second and shutter speed for Night Scene(BEST SHOT) is 4 to 1/2000 second.  The device comes with an built-in flash facility where the various flash modes include Auto, Flash off, Flash on, Red eye reduction. The device comes with lots of accessories including Rechargeable lithium ion battery, USB-AC adaptor, AC power cord, USB cable and strap. Casio Exilim EX comes with the dimensions 94.9(W) x 56.3(H) x 19.3(D) mm and weighs an approximately 140 grams. Its external connection terminals include USB port (Hi-Speed USB compatible, USB charging) / AV output terminal(NTSC/PAL). This would allow the user to connect the device with the computers and transfer data to that computer. The device has 6 lenses in 5 groups including an aspherical lens.
