Sony Cybershot RX10 Description

Sony Cyber-shot RX10 camera comes armed with a 24-200mm lens in 35mm equivalent terms and boasts of an impressive f/2.8 constant maximum aperture. At the rear of the device, lie a tilting 1 million dots LCD monitor and an EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) with resolution of 1.4million dots. There is an in-built Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity to it as well. Sony Cyber-shot RX10 has a large grip with textured rubber coating that enhances the device’s style quotient. At the roof of the camera, lie a number of buttons and dials wherein, there is a dial that helps in switching between exposure modes that is, Shutter and Aperture Priority. Also, you can make use of the exposure compensation dial and numerous buttons and dials therein, can be customized. There is a small ‘C’ button at the top, which is useful should you wish to change one specific setting. An aperture ring below the lens helps in changing the aperture quickly. Zooming can be done in two ways; you can zoom the lens or switch around the shutter release. The latter operation shall appeal to compacts when shooting with one hand. The LED screen of the camera displays key settings and can be illuminated when it is dark or light conditions are not too favourable.

The tilt screen can be viewed downwards and upwards for, below the waist and above the head shots. To alter the AF point, you have to use the combination of scroll dial/arrow keys and buttons at the back. The LCD is joined by the EVF as hinted which has an eye sensor, which means that it activates EVF as you hold your eye closer to it. The image-processing engine is Bionz X and the color reproduction is beautiful and finely detailed. Given that you can shoot at f/2.8 throughout the focal length range, you can take the advantage of shooting shallow depth of field effects. The AF system is speedy and locks onto the subject(s) easily and once clicked, all your work gets stored inside SD/SDXC/SDHC/UHS-I cards. Sony Cyber-shot RX10 can take in Sony's own Pro Duo / Pro HG Duo types. The power to the camera comes in via NP-FW50 InfoLithium rechargeable battery pack wherein, you can get around 420 shots on a single charge as per CIPA testing standards along with 50% flash and zooming usage. Sony Cyber-shot RX10 in itself is a good one and is certain to shake up the bridge camera market given the flexibility to work with it.
