The micro-hybrid technology enables the Mahindra Scorpio’s engine to be intelligently switched off when the car is idle, making the car consume lesser fuel and thus, reduces pollution. Acceleration and Pick up
The mHawk engine of the new Scorpio provides a whopping power and propels from 0-60kmph in just 5.7seconds. The car engine offers zipper acceleration and crosses a barrier of 100kmph under 15.5seconds. The SUV attains the top speed of 156kmph. The top mounted intercooler engine makes the car much economical to use, and makes the engine cool as fast as possible.
The Scorpio has a well-toned body structure that is aggressively complemented by an imposing new front grille with a glimpse of chrome in the middle. Furthermore, the embossed side cladding and the sporty new fog lamps add this sporty looks to the car. The Scorpio is a luxury SUV that not only provides looks but also with its wealth of comfort features, makes it rise above other competitors. The SUV provides a smooth and comfortable ride on any geography, whether it is the mountainous terrain or the simple plains. The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & AC) with rear vents are very efficient and have air circulation throughout the vehicle. The middle row seats slides to offer a bigger legroom when needed (only in 8 seater). The company presents centre armrest on the second row seats and individual armrests on the first row seats, except in the base model. The tilt able steering has been provided for the complete comfort while driving. The Stylish2 DIN audio player with 4 speakers takes care of the entertainment and infotainment system and gives a very joyful and pleasant journey. There is an option of Bluetooth connectivity provided on the steering wheel and is available for the base models at some extra cost. The Mahindra Scorpio is packed with a 2.2L top mounted intercooled mHawk CRDe engine. This is a 4 stroke turbocharged diesel engine that comes with a displacement of 2179cc. This frugal engine offers a maximum gross power of 120BHP at 4000RPM accompanied with a maximum torque of 290Nm in the range between1800-2800RPM. This whole comes affixed with the 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox variable with different variants. This highly powered engine is very economical and fuel-efficient, and produces great performance.
Mahindra Scorpio is featured with 16inches wheel, making it much more dynamic and the presence of alloy wheels in some variants gives the car an admirable look. Handling and Control
The handling of this large SUV is quite simpler thanks to the tilt able power steering of the car. It also enables to take a sharp turning radius of 5.6m. Mahindra Scorpio consists of front disc and caliper types with twinpot & tandem booster, and the rear have drum brakes. The top variants also holds the anti braking system technology that enhances significantly the handling and control on the car.
Mahindra Scorpio provides a comfortable ride with high engine performance and great styling features.
The interiors are not so much glazed and the suspensions are little embarrassing.
