Nissan India, the Indian wing of the Japanese auto giant has introduced the upgraded version of its flagship hatch Nissan Micra in the Indian market at a competitive price tag. This hatch is launched in overall seven variants with three petrol and four diesel engine options. Nissan Micra XL petrol is the entry level variant in the series, and it comes equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine option. The company has introduced this modified version with some added features as well. No changes have been made to the technicalities or to the mechanism of this premium hatch. Customers who are interested to purchase this hatch can choose from between manual and CVT transmission gearbox options. However, this entry level variant comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. This new version has received updates in terms of both exteriors and interiors, which makes it more desirable in the segment.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
Nissan Micra XL petrol trim which is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine is considered as one of the most fuel efficient hatches in the segment. The company claims that it has the efficiency to return a mileage of 18.44kmpl, which is quite good.
The Japanese automaker is offering its flagship hatch in overall seven different color shades. These color shades are best suited for this hatch and make it more attractive with premium cues on it. These color shades include Blade Silver, Storm White, Sunshine Orange, Onyx Black, Spring Green, and Brick Red. Its interior cabin too received minor updates in the form of dual toned dashboard and environment.

2013 Nissan Micra's entry level trim is blessed with a high performance petrol engine, which is good at acceleration and pickup. This modified version has the top speed of about 160 Kmph, which is quite impressive. Moreover, Nissan claims that this premium hatch can accelerate 0-100kmph speed in 15 to 16 seconds.
