Overall Review

HTC One SV is carrying the company's tradition to always present something unique and impressive at the same time. The device has the similar HTC-look and features a big 4.3 inch screen that gives a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. The screen is protected by the Super LCD2 capacitive touch screen technology along with the HTC sense UI that we all have come to  love and adore in since previous HTC devices. The device as always gives a elegant look which is exactly the feel it gives on holding. The internal memory is also pretty solid with 8 GB whereas the 1 GB RAM gives it the thrust necessary to enhance the speed. The dual core 1.2 GHz processor further enhances the performance in collaboration with the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system while an upgrade to Jelly bean should soon be around the corner. A microSD card slot for memory expansion should help those who love to keep a massive collection of data in their device. The device also has a 25 GB dropbox capacity. The camera competence for HTC was never in doubt and this on e does not disappoint either with a 5 megapixel rear camera working at a resolution of 2592 by 1944 pixels and a secondary camera of 1.6 megapixel which is very powerful facilitating video chatting and web calling. Data connectivity features are solid too with the bluetooth 4.0 version with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot leading the charts along with the device being NFC capable. The music player is comprehensive not only in terms of its interface but with regard to its sound quality courtesy the  Beats Audio sound enhancement technology that can be experienced by using a earphone that can be attached to the device with the help of a 3.5 mm jack. Battery life is pretty good though not the best as compared to other Smartphones. Still it should dish out a decent amount of talk time and standby time with a standard lithium ion battery of 1800 mAh. The device is available in the colors of black and white with access to 3G and 4G network.

User Interface and UI functionality

HTC One SV comes with a  4.3 inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen that gives 16 million colors along with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels and works at a pixel density of 217 ppi. The device can be interacted with through the touchscreen technology and is protected from scratches through the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology.

Multimedia features

HTC One SV comes with a music player that enables the user to listen to songs through the loudspeakers or through the earphones that can be attached to th edvice with the help of a 3.5 mm jack. The sound quality improves with the earphones as the device comes backed by the Beats Audio sound enhancement technology. There is also a video player that makes sure that the user can watch and enjoy videos of his or her own choice in the formats MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV player while the songs can be heard in the formats MP3, eAAC+, WMA and WAV player.

Pictures and Video quality

HTC One SV comes with a 5 megapixel camera that produces quality pictures at a resolution of 2592 by 1944 pixels and comes backed by the autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection features. The LED flash is very good giving better results when the background is dark while the touch focus and auto focus gives the user better control over precision. Videos can also be shot with the video stabilization feature while the 1.6 megapixel secondary camera gives the user access to web calling and video chatting.

Internet support

HTC One SV has a very powerful Internet support system Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot. Multiple tabs can be opened along with the music player being in active mode and still the speed is considerably high. The user can log on to the web and download data including music files, games, images and videos.

Internal and External Memory

HTC One SV comes with a 8 GB internal memory which should be sufficient in itself but in case it is not the user can expand it up to 32 GB with the help of a microSD card slot. This feature will come in use for those who love their music or are gaming buffs who love to download high profile games. A RAM of 1 GB means that the user can access all the resources of the system at a faster pace.

Applications and Gaming

HTC One SV comes loaded with lots of games and apps like the Temple Run and Angry which are already the most popular games in the Android circuit. The user can download more games and apps from the web with the Android Ice cream sandwich giving them a huge domain to choose from.

Battery Backup

HTC One SV comes powered by the standard lithium ion battery of 1800 mAh which is pretty good and gives the user a substantial amount of talk time and standby time. Listening to music and playing games would consume a lot of power though which could mean charge a lot more frequently than desired.

Connectivity Offered

HTC One SV offers loads of data connectivity features including the bluetooth 4.0, USB port 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot. The user GPRS feature is also available letting the user keep track of the desired location. NFC compatibility is also provided.

HTC One SV when compared to the HTC One J has a slightly better operating system along with a identical screen size with 4.3 inches. The latter has a better battery strength but only just with the HTC One SV featuring 1800 mAh as compared to the HTC One J's 1810 mAh. HTC One J has a better camera with 8 megapixels as compared to HTC One S's 5 megapixels. The internal memory capacity is more with HTC One J with 16 GB which is double of what HTC One SV offers but the microSD card slots in both the devices neutralizes the same. Processor is again slightly more powerful with HTC One J as compared to HTC One SV.
