With 155grams, Intex Aqua I5 is certainly not the lightest device but for a 5-inch screen, it is pretty light. The device does not have a stylish look and is pretty plain Jane for our liking with edges that reminds us more of Samsung's earlier designs. But the features that the gadget offer is certainly not that vanilla with a camera, which is as heavy as 12megapixels clicking pictures at a whopping resolution of 4000 by 3000pixels.
The secondary camera is burly as well with the strength of 2megapixels. Videos can be shot with great success as well. There is a LED flash for producing brighter images in darker backgrounds. Memory wise, Intex Aqua I5 has a 1.58GB internal memory space while ROM is of 4GB. So, the device is pretty roomy but more space can be created with the help of the 32GB microSD card slot allowing huge amount of data storage capacity. The Internet is not very quick but works with enough pace to enable easy web surfing abilities along with downloading features. There is also the GPRS, EDGE and WAP browser along with Wi-Fi for accessing the web. The Bluetooth version used is 4.0 that should provide fast data exchange possibilities with other compatible devices. The device runs on the 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor while the software platform is Android Jelly Bean. Therefore, the user should not find it hard to operate on the device with utter smoothness and ease. Many Android applications should keep the user entertained and engaged. The 2000mAh standard lithium-ion battery gives away a talk time of up to 5hours and a standby time of up to 168hours. Other features and applications that accompany the device include Intex Zone (pre-loaded with many features), Voice Screen Unlock, Screen Face Unlock, and Flip Mute.
User Interface and UI functionality
Intex Aqua I5 comes with a big 5-inch qHD display thus making the gadget the company's flagship phone for the season. The screen is backed by the resolution of 960 by 540pixels. It is pretty easy and quick to run your fingers across the display and the gaming features do not disappoint either.
Intex Aqua I5 has a music player with an interface that resembles a bit that of Samsung. The sound quality though, is not as good as Samsung but is still praiseworthy. Earphones work well with a clearer bass sound whereas loudspeakers also manage to hold up well without the sound crackling. The video player would be a treat on this 5-inch display and support the formats namely, MP4, 3GPP, 3GP, AVI whereas the music can be heard in the formats of MP3, WAV, AMR, AAC. There is also the FM radio for recording popular songs while hearing them on popular radio stations.

Intex Aqua I5 comes with a 12-megapixel camera that does deliver the goods in terms of image quality at a resolution of 4000 by 3000pixels. The secondary camera is of 2megapixels in terms of strength and can be used to make online video calls at a resolution of 1600 by 1200pixels. Video recordings can also be made although the same kind of eminence is not maintained here.

Both the devices run on the Android Jelly Bean operating system and have quad core processors. The camera is more powerful in Intex Aqua I5 with 12megapixels as compared to the Canvas's 8megapixels. Video recordings are HD in Micromax Canvas while the same is not the case in Intex Aqua I5. The battery’s strength is 2000mAh for both the smartphones.
