Karbonn A90 Black & Silver Description
The Indian phone manufacturing company Karbonn has been relentless this season in terms of their approach and production of new models. The company certainly does not want to leave anything to chance and constantly trying to evolve their designs and specifications. Another reason for the change and constant introduction of new devices in the stiff competition from other tier2 brands like Micromax, Celkon and iBall that forces them to come up with such moves. Therefore we have four budget smartphones by the name of A-series and the most economical of the four is the Karbonn A90. Karbonn A90 has a rectangular look to it much like the rest of the A-series devices with the screen actually not occupying the whole space of the front side of the gadget. The smartphone is dual SIM and supports two GSM SIM allocations that deliver the dual standby mode as well. The gadget comes with a 4 inch IPS display that has a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. Now for a device of such price range there is obviously going to be an anticipation for some scaling down and we will start that from the operating system which Android Ice Cream Sandwich which according to us is a bit too far away from the latest Android offering. At the same one would acknowledge that the presence of Android is always formidable and opens door to a huge collection of applications and games like Temple Run and WhatsApp. RAM is 512MB that is acceptable and so is the 1GHz processor which is not dual core but would serve the purpose for multitasking and accommodating games on a small and medium scale. The photography is not bad with the smartphone with the user getting a 5 megapixel primary camera and a digital secondary camera. For the former the user can snap pictures at a resolution of 2592 by 1944 pixels. Objects can be closed in on via digital zoom facility while there is also the auto focus and LED flash for making the images accurate and lively. The latter of the two provides some face time but not with much clarity while video calling and web chats can be executed. Built-in memory of the smartphone is the lowest among the four members of the A-series with 512MB but the provision of the microSD card slot remains that promises up to 32GB memory enhancement. Songs, games, images and videos are easy and convenient to contain in the gadget. Various data connectivity options that come with the device include Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, USB port and Bluetooth that are handy for accessing web and exchanging data with other compatible devices. 900 and 1800MHz frequencies are supported by the gadget as the smartphone runs on the 1400mAh standard lithium-ion battery which gives a lingering standby time but the same cannot be said about the talk time.
