User Interface and UI functionality
The dimensions of 115.5mm x 63mm x 10.4mm and a weight of 128.7 grams clearly suggest that Nokia X has an average weight that won’t burden your wrists and fingers, even if you work on it for long continuous hours. The company has provided it with a 4 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of ~233ppi (pixels per inch). Nokia X is equipped with a 3MP camera that features a camera resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Some basic camera features present are fixed focus, 4 x camera digital zoom, 1/5-inch sensor size, f/2.8 as main camera f-number/aperture, 32.4mm camera focal length, auto and manual white balance, active toolbar, still image editor, face recognition, auto exposure, center weighted auto exposure and panorama lens as digital add ons. Unfortunately, the company does not provide it with a secondary camera, so video calling won’t be possible with it.
Nokia X supports all those features that can keep you connected to your network globally. Some of the features are GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. Also, the device can act as Wi-Fi hotspot by which, you can share your network with all other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
Internal and External Memory
Nokia X has been shipped with with 512MB of RAM, which means, you can’t go for high-end games and heavy multi-tasking. However, it hosts 4GB of internal space so that you can store a significant amount of files and data in it. If somehow, this space gets exhausted, you need not worry as Nokia X is provided with a microSD card slot, which can be used to expand the external memory up to 32GB as and when needed.

Nokia X hosts a huge collection of pre–installed applications. Some of these are Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, threaded view of text messages, MMS, Email, IM, Push Email, HTML enabled browser, AGPS support, Java MIDP emulator, SNS integration, MP4/H.263/H.264 player, MP3/eAAC+/WAV/Flac player, Document viewer, Photo viewer/editor, Google Search, 3D HereMaps, Gmail, YouTube, Picasa, Voice memo/dial and Predictive text input, etc. All the famous Android games and apps can be downloaded on Nokia X smartphone, like Plants vs Zombies 2, Skype, etc. and adding more to it is the customizable homescreen and Fastlane.
Working on Nokia X software that is a customized derivative of Android OS, Nokia X hosts Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A5 processor and a 1,500mAh battery, which promises to provide a standby time up to 408 hours, a talk time up to 13 hours and 20 minutes (2G) and up to 10 hours and 30 minutes (3G), a music playback time up to 26 hours and a video playback time of up to 8.4 hours.
Nokia X hosts many connectivity features that allow you to stay connected to your network all the time. The global connectivity features includes GPRS, GSM, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, 3G and 2G, whereas local connectivity features include Bluetooth and USB v2.0.
One of the major rivals of Nokia X is Samsung Galaxy Trend II Duos wherein, the former offers an IPS screen while the latter does not. Not only this, the former set is 0.70mm thinner than the latter one. Along with this, Nokia X also rivals Micromax Bolt A24 where again, Nokia X offers a 3MP camera as opposed to the latter's 0.3MP. Talking of the operating system, Nokia X is features the most updated version of Android, so in that case, it is above many models that were released in the past.
