Expert Review of Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300
Where the battle for producing Smartphones with huge screen rages on and Samsung being in the fore front of this fight with Samsung galaxy Note 2, the company also keeps in mind, the needs of an alternative section of the market where the consumers are looking for a Smartphone with a modest size. Samsung Galaxy Pocket is almost half the size of Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and is personified of our earlier statement. The name of the device also apt for what it intends to do but does it deliver in terms of performance? The device for one is powered by Android, but not Ice Cream Sandwich leave alone Jelly Bean. Gingerbread is the name of the game for Samsung Galaxy Pocket although it is be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich as well. The device is powered by the 832MHz processor, which is decent enough to give the device enough speed to carry out its operations.
There is a 4GB internal memory but only 3GB is user available that enables the user to store data. In case the memory is not enough, he or she can expand the memory up to 32GB with the help of the microSD card slot. Standard features like music player, video player and the FM radio player are also available. The quality of the music player is not the best but for what the device intends to offer, it is pretty reasonable. The battery strength is where the device steals the show with a 1,200 mAh standard lithium ion power back up producing a talk time of up to 17 hours along with a standby time of up to 800 hours. The same capacity in 3G decreases with the talk time being up to 5 hours and 40 minutes along with a standby time of up to 500 hours. The camera is 2 megapixels and is certainly not the USP of the device with a this much of strength. All in all, a decent device and worth a buy if your budget is limited.
