The tablet market is heating up with the companies coming up with new gadgets and better versions. In case of tablets, there has been a common notion that it is better to buy one that is economical and has better features in terms of quality and quantity. This statement would also be reinforced by the fact that there upgradations also seem to come up in short durations so it is difficult to keep up in case the use is tight on budget. Micromax Funbook Talk P360 is another tablet for Micromax that is backed by decent specs and is available at a decent specs. The device has a 7 inch TFT capacitive WVGA touch display that gives a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels which is does not exactly scream out quality.
The display is not downright poor but it does leave a lot be desired for. The battery backing the device up is 3000mAh standard lithium ion which is formidable and allows the user to operate on the device for a longer duration without his or her entertainment being cut short. Obviously, in case, the user opens Internet and plays games and listens to music at the same time, the battery consumption per unit time is bound to increase. Memory capacity for the device is 2GB but there is also a microSD card slot that can be used to extend the external memory of the device up to 32GB so as to store loads of data including music, games, images and videos. The camera is of 2 megapixels that can be used to click pictures which is pretty decent while a VGA secondary camera is also provided for video calling at a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels.
The camera also has the capability to zoom up to 4X which would come in handy in case the user wants to click pictures from a substantial distance. Internet can be accessed through the GPRS facility or through the Wi-Fi but some of the modern facilities like Wi-Fi DLNA and Wi-Fi Hotspot are absent from the device. 3G connectivity is also available via external dongle, whereas other data connectivity features include USB port, bluetooth, A2DP. There is also a music player through which the user can listen to his or her favourite musical tracks that whereas a video player is also provided for watching videos and its experience on a 7 inch screen is enjoyable too. The device runs on the Android jelly bean operating system but its compatibility with the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 is still unknown. The device though should get upgrades to loads of apps that are new in the market. Some of the other important features of the device include Alarm, Clock, Calender, Calculator, Voice Recording, Google Plus, M!-Live, Google Play (For Downloading Games, Music, Apps), Adobe flash player.
User Interface and UI functionality
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a 7 inch capacitive WVGA screen which can be interacted with through the touchscreen facility. The resolution offered by the screen is rather low with 480 by 800 pixels.
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a music player for listening to songs through the loudspeakers or through the earphones that can be attached to the device with the help of a 3.5mm jack. The video player gives access to the desired videos.
Pictures and Video quality
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a 2 megapixels camera for clicking pictures at a resolution of 1600 by 1200 pixels. There is also the facility of zoom while a secondary camera can be used for video calling and web chatting.
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has the GPRS facility to access the web along with the Wi-Fi for wireless connection with web. The speed of the web is pretty decent and allows the user to visit the desired web sites and download data including songs, games, images and videos.
Internal and External Memory
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a 2GB internal memory, which by no means can be enough for a tablet and that is why there is also a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. The user can then store tons of data including songs, games, images and videos. The RAM is also 1GB which should speed things up in terms of operating speed.

Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has loads of apps and games that are preinstalled in the device but the user can use the facilities offered by the Android Jelly Bean operating system and download more such apps.
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 is powered by the standard lithium-ion battery of 3,000mAh that gives the users a talk time of up to 4 hours along with a standby time of up to 160 hours.
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has the Wi-Fi facility and the bluetooth feature where the latter makes sure that the user can connect the device with other devices and exchange data with wirelessly where the date exchanged may include music files, games, images and videos. There is also 3G connectivity via USB dongle. The USB port is also available for connecting the device with other devices through the USB cable.
Micromax Funbook Talk P360 when compared to Karbonn Smart Tab has a superior operating system with the former featuring the Android Jelly Bean operating system as compared to the latter's Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a 7 inch screen whereas the Karbonn Smart Tab has a 9 inch screen. Micromax Funbook Talk P360 has a 1GHz processor, which is slightly less than the 1.2 GHz processor offered by Karbon Smart Tab. RAM is 1GB with Micromax Funbook Talk P360, which is double of what Karbonn Smart Tab offers. A 4,000mAh battery powers Karbonn Smart Tab, which is significantly more than the 3,000mAh offered by Micromax Funbook Talk P360.
