Subject: Dismal product performance and hardware faults developing within 15 days of purchase.
I hope this mail reaches appropriate position at Asus India, wherein someone, can understand the risks of marketing a faulty product and an abysmally dismal performance for an emerging Laptop brand, in India.
This is Neeraj here. I purchased a NetBook, Asus EEEBook E202SA, on 30th August from one of the Asus's Stores in Nehru Place, New Delhi. I had not hoped things will go this wrong but now I am deciding to highlight each and every of the details.
LapCom Pvt Ltd at Nehru Place from where I purchased the laptop, the people over there were simply "Not Interested" in explaining any feature to me, they kept talking to themselves, eating, chatting on their mobile phones, even while I was paying the money at the counter. All this was done with out in the open, with no regrets or feelings whatsoever. In my life times experience I have never see any front office people behaving so rudely and giving almost no importance to their own customers. Not caring to compare models for me, not caring to explain any feature me and even refusing to provide a simple "E-Copy" of my invoice, stating that it will cost them their precious time.
To reiterate, even people selling simple clothes in a shop are better behaved than the ones at LapCom Pvt Ltd whom I was paying thousands of hard earned money. This issue was to be flagged and here as a Customer I had done my part. I need you to take this matter as seriously as possible else you should very well know what impacts will it have on your Brand.
As I was not given an appropriate guide about the product I ended up buying Asus EEEBook E202SA, which has turned out to be a nightmare for me. It is immensly slow, even a simple task of "Clicking on Start, Searching for Microsoft Word on it will take 3-4 minutes." I can completely forget about doing even an inch more than a "Single" task or else I will have to wait for 5 minutes doing absolutely nothing and stare at the screen, while the Computer weeps. It hangs every 15 minutes and struggles to do any task which I consider as day to day usage.
Serious Problem 1:
The Screen on the lower end side on the task bar, automatically cuts its size and remains so unless I Re-Start the Computer. This problem was there from the Day1, but to my bad luck I ignored it considering to pardon Asus for relatively cheaper product I bought. It disappears on its own and can sometimes re-appear.
Serious Problem 2:
The battery from the 9/10th Sept was not showing proper level of charging. I again ingnored it(for the abovementioned reason). But on 12th the computer would shut down automatically and will not Turn on.
Remember this was suppose to be a New Laptop. The battery indicator in the front would blink on and off, unlike previously. To my surprise the battery Indicator showed, "No Battery Detected" from then on. The battery as it turns out is now dead.
What do I want?
This was my fifth Asus Purchase(Nexus 7 Tablet, 2 Zenfone 5s and Asus Zenpad), 3 of the invoices are attached for your reference.
The Nexus died a fast death within a year or so of its purchase as It became excessively slow after the android update. Being completely useless I had to dispose it. The Zenpad, which I had gifted to my Sister(for her Kid) developed screen issues., in which the top part of the screen showed black lines. All this time I ignored and kept on ignoring the heavy price I was paying for Asus's products without actually getting any quality-assurance from them. But, now I cannot take it anymore.
I have paid a huge price of Rs 18,800 of my hard earned cash and a new product has developed snags even before 15 days of usage. It is impossible to trust Asus EEEBook E202SA at all and any such problem can re-appear anytime anywhere. Can I imagine myself doing any critical task on it? Can I count on Asus in giving me product which I can proudly rely on? That is something I leave it to you.
But for me, I want a complete refund for this product and I want to disassociate myself with this brand, perhaps for ever. If the company fails to refund my money back and take this product back, I will initiate strict action and will never, ever forget what I have gone through while using this product. Its breach of trust and I feel cheated.
Did I call Asus?
I have already made an Online Complaint on 12th and called up Customer Care, wherein I talked to two people, Abhishek at the Customer's desk and Jitendra at the Technical Division, both of whom empathetically listened and made assurances to see what they can do.
The Call was made in 9:30 in the morning and the entire day went without any intimation from Asus's side. A day without the proper use of my Laptop is costing my time and money. I would like you to imagine being ina similar position and then look at critical importance of each passing day.

MY LAPTOP USEAGE IS PRETTY MINIMUM SO I OPTED FOR A CELERION PROCESSOR
THE DELIVERY WAS GREAT BUT ONCE I TURNED ON THE GAME BEGUN
IT WAS LOADED WITH A PIRATED VERSION OF WIN 8 INSTEAD OF WINDOWS 10 AND THE MOST TERRIFFIC PART WAS THAT THE WIFI WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL I TRIED INSTALLING DRIVERS BUT NO USE.
THE PROB IS THIS LAP SUPPORTS ONLY WIN10.
I RECEIVED A USED PIECE.

I like its every features exept its camera quality..
Can not Decrease RAM ! Lags in Performance...not Sugestible for Long Term use.

But Performance Sucks !
Touch pad gesture is a bit unresponsive..delay in Scrolling !
It has an Integrated motherboard which means you cant increase the RAM !
2gb RAM is not suggestible for Windows 10.
Had there been an option to Increase RAM i would have given 5star !
Since for This Model there are no Windows 7/8.1 drivers available on ASUS official website I am not sure whether it's possible to Downgrade the OS too.

The product was defective as wifi was getting disconnected regularly. I didn't expect this kind of product from asus as have another laptop of asus i use and was happy with the product and hence wanted another one for my kid. The replacement slot for pickup was also adhered to by Amazon and had to waste time at home waiting for their pick up person to take the product. You should value people's time.

Lookwise, its awesome.. But, too slow n no RAM slot to upgrade or change it to 4GB.. Asus must focus on providing 11.6" Laptops with upgradable Chip sets..
