Portable and nice design, but could have been better
by Subhabrata Mukhuti on 2014-08-02
Purchased this as a backup laptop and for carrying ease in short trips.
- Matt finish body have a premium feel in this budget laptop.
- One of the most lightweight/portable laptop in this segment
- Came with FreeDOS, but fully supported Ubuntu 14.04 out of the box.
- Boots in 15-20 seconds.
- Crystal clear and loud sound.
- Battery life ranged from 1.45 hrs (moderate use/download/install/videos/internet) to 2.45 hrs (document update) as against advertised life of 4 hrs.
- 2GB RAM means that this laptop is suitable for internet and light multi-tasking, but not very heavy activities. But non-gamers can do with this.
- Battery is non-replaceable. Charging time from 5% till 100% is 3:15 hrs.
With just about 2.15hr on average battery backup, the portability advantage of this laptop is lost. Its a shame, because this laptop has excellent design and build decent specs for price. Would have really loved 4 GB RAM and slightly better battery life. 3.5 stars.
Pleased with delivery and affordable netbook
by Snehal Wagh on 2014-05-12
It's always fast and accurate. I had a problem during order processing, but the customer representatives solved it efficiently.
I ordered for In-a-day delivery and I've got my order within 20 hours.
A nice product at a budget.
It is fast and reliable.
But it has a low battery life, It worked up to 3 hours for me.
Best at this price range

This laptop is really nice. Installed Ubuntu 14.04 and it works like a charm (except that bluetooth is not working). The laptop is very light to be carried around and powerful enough for meeting everyday needs. Only problem is that it heats up too quickly. Better get some laptop cooler.
Worth the price, but Poor Battery Performance & Heating.
by Sayan Chakrabarti on 2014-05-29
Got it for Rs.15,415/- ONLY, thanks to great discounts on Flipkart! :-)
Opted for In-a-day delivery for extra Rs.90, and received the nicely packed product within ~27 hours. The recycled cardboard packing box deserves a word of mention. This box is not something you'd want to throw right away. Looks very durable & great for storing stuff.
The matted-finish looks of this white netbook is mind-blowingly beautiful. Very light, compact & portable.
Installed Lubuntu 14.04, and audio, video, wifi all worked out of the box. (except bluetooth, which I'm still trying to make work). Boot-up time, responsiveness & general performance is quite satisfactory.
The chiclet keyboard has a nice layout & typing is easy. But if you have large fingertips, the keys might still feel a bit too small. The touchpad is big with scroll support: you can do without external mouse if really necessary. Double-clicking is at times slow to respond. The overall build of keyboard & touchpad seems to be slightly cheap-looking & toyish, but performs well enough for now (not sure how long they'll last though).
Now about the worst disappointment: The netbook heats up darn quickly, and the battery drains at rocket speed. It seems it takes longer to fully charge than to drain!
Even with moderate usage & all power-saving goodies turned on, it maxes out to 2-2.5 hours. Perhaps the 4.5 hours mentioned in the specs list is only if you are running FreeDOS! ;)
Overall however, considering the price, I'd say this is a pretty good product worth buying. But nothing to get too excited about IMHO.
Avoid this if you want to bump up the specs on your own.

I bought this laptop from some other website since I was getting it a lot cheaper. The build quality is reasonably good but the bummer is that this laptop has the RAM soldered on to the motherboard and there is no vacant slot. This translates to "no up-gradation possible". Flipkart's description is not right so beware. It is mentioned that the RAM can be increased to 4GB but that is not the case.
Though the laptop works fine with Windows 8.1, I would have preferred to have the RAM increased to 4GB.
Also compared the the other similar sized Sony VAIO laptop, the display is dull and uninspiring. But for the money you are paying for this laptop, it does the job well.
If I were given a chance, I'd probably buy the X201 instead for a little more.
It is nice notebook ever with so much less price

I like this laptop very much. whit in color and it is so attractive, everything working good, wifi, bluetooth, 64 bit display is superb.I have ordered it from flipkart and i have revived in 4 days. superb!!!!!
Battery and RAM fused in to machine - Highly unsustainable, non reliable laptop
by Ajesh Kumar on 2014-09-23
This product definitely has good specs and will perform good as long as it performs.
But, once it goes out of order, you will just have to throw it away.
Its battery is fused to board. So, you cannot remove it and replace it with a better one.
Now, if you want to upgrade it, there are no slots available for RAM.
If the RAM got damaged, we may have to discard the laptop as the RAM is also fused to the board.
Asus X200CA-KX072D Netbook (CDC/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS)
by aravind unnikrishnan on 2014-05-30
an excellent laptop for every day use. very good display, very good processor,2gb RAM but can be upgraded via empty slot, but be a little careful while installing Ubuntu Linux because this laptop drivers, especially wifi and Ethernet are not compatible and does not work with Ubuntu. but it works great with windows 8 very fast and an excellent touchpad which is almost comparable to macbooks and blows away sony, Lenovo etc. over all a very good experience, not to mention the excellent pricing( I think this is the lowest online price for this notebook)
Low battery life but good one at an Affordable Price!!!
by Pranamya Bhattacharya on 2014-07-05
I have purchased it even after my friends told me not to do so. I am satisfied with the performance it delivers at such an affordable price. The delivery was also very quick as mentioned. I received it in just two working days which is great. The only problem with this one is low battery life. The battery life does not last more than 2 hrs which is very irritating at times. You cannot work with it on the go unless there is charging point nearby. Anyways I am happy with it and now my colleagues are willing to exchange their notebooks with that of mine. ..
by VKR on 2014-09-12
The prices keep changing but I got it for 15 grands. Small, light weight and compact. Its ideal for those on the move and not heavy users but rather normal internet surfers and use it for document editing purpose .It has sufficient computing power for a normal user. The only drawback is the lack of expandable RAM, however a nano USB pen drive can be plugged into one of the 3 USB slots permanently and use it as RAM if one wants to use the laptop with an increased memory. The battery backup is around 2 hours. Overall a cute little piece of laptop.

Best laptop for home use
by pawandeep singh on 2014-06-24
I use to have a Benq netbook with 10.1 inches screen primarily for personal entertainment and little bit of office work. After using it for over 4 years it was hard for me to buy another netbook because the only thing I wish I had was a bigger screen. I never required a DVD or CD writer as everything is available for download now. After a lot of research I found this product which suits my requirements. It has a decent screen 11.6 which give me a feeling of both laptop and netbook. Very easy to carry and good for personal use.
Buy it for:
1. Light weight.
3. Faster response for home and internet use.
4. Battery backup.
Do not buy if:
1. You are looking for a full size screen.
2. You are looking for a amazing build quality. (The touchpad is a little off)
3. You need a DVD or CD writer
Excellent value for basic use

I needed a laptop for my wife for home use. It had to be compact, look good at the same time I did not want to spend a lot. This was the closest match, we had to compromise on the colour though(only white n black available). Amazon provided me the cheapest rate for this laptop. For the price I paid I am quite happy. My wife has no complaints yet. It lags once in a while. I have had no problems using it as a netbook or for word processing. Overall very good value for money. I might buy one for myself when my current laptop goes dead.
I faced a few hiccups while loading windows as it does not have a CD drive, but once I figured out how to use a bootable USB it was easy.
My only concern is that it does not have a user detachable battery, the battery might die a premature death if the charging cycles are not monitored.
Decent Netbook with some flaws
by Ajit K on 2014-07-10
Please note, this model does NOT have touchscreen as mentioned on asus website. The buetooth does NOT work in ubuntu. The touchpad is horrible. In other aspects, it's a decent netbook. I bought it for R.15500 and it's worth it.
amazing good looking affordable notebook pc
by Tushar sale on 2014-10-05
First of all, at this price its worth it. u will not get same specs with same price.
so looking for daily use like surfing, browsing, mail checking and music movies then buy it..
now my experince..
i ordered asus x200ca white on 2 october 14 and 3rd october 14 within 24 hrs, it reached my home on ospious day of dusshera. so thanks amazon for such a quick dilivary. i paid extra 99 bugs but 100% worth it. so u thumps up for amazon a dilivary.
2. this notebook comes with minimum accessories to be specific with notebook, charger, manuals and 2 drivers dvds windows7&8. very compact packing by asus which is good.
3.notebook has dos installed. n it doesnt has dvd drive so be ready with bootable flash drive to install os. it supports windows 7&8 64 bit. though i managed to install windows 7 32 bit.
4.100/100 marks for design n slim looks with bright white color. but to be frank quality of body is not good, just 1 star less for that. from distance it looks like macbook air but if u see closely then u can easily observe plastic body but again at this price its worth it. touchpad is biggger than others laptop but it suits it. at 11.6 inch display also good with 1024*768 resolution.
5.battery takes 2 hrs for full charge n got 4to4.5 hrs battery backup which is good.
6. price is lowest on amazon than available on any other shopping website.
i steal this deal with some 14K ? as amazon was offering 10% cashback offer.
so very happy with asus x200ca and shopping experince on amazon.

I bought this laptop mainly for casual work, surfing the net, watching videos and listening to music. The keypad is well spaced out with neat legible flat keys. I love the textured white body and the slim minimalistic design. Overall a great laptop and a real looker!
This is a small laptop with minimum features ,so don't except it to be blazing fast nor will it support high end softwares properly (PhotoShop,After effects ,etc)
This comes only with Dos OS ,so you would have to install an os (Win 7 or Win 8) manually
Weight just 1.2 kgs
small and compact
Back is completely enclosed (Battery cannot be removed)
Trackpad not very responsive (Mouse should do your work)
No CD drive (connect an external)
so the next day I downloaded anti-virus software and now its working fine again. And I hope it does work well ...
by Takhelchangbam A. on 2014-10-12
I was searching for a low budget netbook around and came through many others e shopping websites but the rates were high, finally I got it here from Amazon with the reasonable rate. but what happens is Im a bit of confuse because it wasn't able to shut down and was having a trouble shooting thrice..!!! Is that because of any virus issue or was it because of the Microsoft software I downloaded. So I would suggest to sell them with at least downloading the windows Microsoft setting of the PC, as you can't trust downloading at any other dealers shop or so.....after buying the product from some other place, they aren't kin to give proper service to the customer.
my cursor too was facing trouble one whole day running everytime in wrong direction to where I try to place and was automatically running around with no control. I had to shut down directly to the switch off button , it happened just 3 days back. so the next day I downloaded anti-virus software and now its working fine again. And I hope it does work well continuously. I LOVE THE PRODUCT THOUGH. one more thing Please add the amount of Rupees 120 in my next product ordering as I was having no change of rupees 120 , I paid the delivery boy less and felt sorry that I couldn't. Overall I love the product!! :)
Amazing Laptop, Great price, good performance, Very handy
by Manu S on 2014-10-12
Amazing Laptop for 15500. 4th Gen intel processor. Works great on Windows 8.1. Good for studies, and light entertainment kids. White colour look very premium. Excellent Screen and Keyboard. Very light and handy. Battery backup is around 2.5 to 3 hours. Power consumption is very low, at little over 30W. So you can keep it in your lap without frying your legs. Very silent in operation. Speakers are good in output. The adapter is neatly designed. Comes with both Win 8.1 and Win 7 drivers. Has neat utilities for the Touchpad gestures. Can be switched off when you connect a Mouse. Wifi and Bluetooth work well. I will recommend WIn 8.1. Plays all Video formats on 64 bit VLC player and inbuilt media player. Inbuilt Camera is excellent quality for Web Video chat. Comes with 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports along with HDMI out option. No optical drive, so load OS on USB drive to install.
Avoid if you are looking for a responsive and moderately powered Notebook
by Yogi on 2016-04-12
There is some issue with the HDD of this nettop, may be one off defect and i was unlucky to have got it. The HDD is making creaking sound which is audible at about 5 ft distance away from the nettop.
1. Gets hot underneath, the ventilation design is pretty poor.
2. Hard disk making sound... seems like issue with the HDD
3. Windows 10 struggles even at simple tasks like browsing and MS Paint. Takes forever to open any default windows applications.
4. RAM can't be upgraded.
1. Nice looking, nifty laptop if you don't mind the sluggish performance. works good on DOS OS!
2. Bright & Crisp Display
3. USB 3.0
Would i recommend this model /configuration to anyone - NO.
Planning to upgrade to SSD in the hopes of making it a bit quicker and responsive.
DSL and android it works great. The touch pad offers detection of 5 figures
by Vijay Bhaskar on 2015-08-06
I encountered few problems with the touch pad while using windows 7 and 8.1 but with windows 10, ubuntu 14.04, DSL and android it works great. The touch pad offers detection of 5 figures. The battery is a bit on the down side as it drains out in 2 hours. Screen quality is alright for the price point (I don't like to watch HD videos on this on). Booting up is fairly quick. It makes a lil creaky noise by it's fan when it is heating up or while over using it. But 9 months in and am still using it for app testing and it helps me a lot in coding and quick browsing when am lazy to access my PC. Over all it's great stuff. Did I mention that it took a fall and has a little dent but still goes on like new?
value for money - happy

Screen display is good
Keyboard is very comfortable
less weight so easy to carry
celeron dual core hangs (rare case)
No CD / DVD player so OS installation sucks!
