Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Black - Expert Reviews

Introduction

Amidst all the hoopla and hype surrounding the new set of smartphones, Samsung has been able to keep its cool and stay steady. The South Korean giant has done very well even though its dominance has not been the same since the last couple of years with new firms taking a chunk of its market share. However, this did not have much of an impact on the premium devices of Samsung – which has literally put the South Korean giant right at the top in the smartphone business. One of these devices is the Note series. Samsung Galaxy Note has been a revolutionary device in the smartphone segment and in a way is responsible for changing the basic screen size of smartphones all around the globe. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 happens to be the fourth edition of the popular Note series and has taken its specification to reach gigantic proportions. On paper, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 certainly is one of the most power packed devices available in the markets today.

The design is not drastically different from its predecessors, but on looking back at Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 does look like it is a ‘coming of age’ gadget that fits into the category of a rectangular shape as compared to previously oval-ish shape. Weighing 176 grams, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a length of 153.5mm, breadth of 78.6mm and a thickness of 8.5mm. The display size has remained the same at 5.7 inches but the quality of display is much better. Like many of the top notch devices in the market today, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a fingerprint sensor that enhances the security aspect of your smartphone. The S Pen stylus remains intact with Note 4, which this time has even more enhanced features associated with it. One of these facilities includes being able to take notes for pictures by an application called photo Note that converts analog into digital. There is a lot more precision involved with the S Pen as compared to the previous edition and one that could be attributed to the augmented pressure sensitivity.

The hardware is as powerful as any smartphone has ever been with an octa-core processor matched by a quad-core processor. The two quad-cores in the octa-core processor clock in at 1.3GHz and 1.9GHz, whereas the quad-core processor has a frequency of 2.7GHz. RAM has remained at 3GB, which is the same figure that Note 3 had. The operating system happens to be Android KitKat 4.4.4, which is the most updated version of Android in the market at present. The device is available in various colors comprising of Frosted White, Charcoal Black, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink.

Operating system and UI

Although the display size has not changed with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as compared to its previous version with 5.7 inches, but there is a significant difference in the resolution and pixel density. The augmented figures of 515ppi pixel density and 1440 by 2560 pixels resolution will improve the quality of the display by a long margin. There is a fingerprint sensor technology as well with the device.

Other Features

The multimedia elements of the device remain the same as always with a music player and a video player. Songs can be stored and heard from the music player or the FM Radio whereas video player would be a great asset for anyone who loves to watch movies. The 515ppi pixel density of the display makes watching videos on the large 5.7 inches screen, an amazing experience.

Camera

The 16 megapixels primary camera of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is as powerful as the one featured by Samsung Galaxy S5 and the same features have been embedded for it as well. Some of these assisting tools include optical image stabilization, autofocus, dual shot, simultaneous HD video recording, geo-tagging, image stabilization, panorama, HDR etc. Finally, Samsung has pumped up the secondary camera as well with a 3.7 megapixels sensor instead of the 2 megapixels sensor we have been used to seeing in the last few years.

Connectivity

Access to the Internet is fast with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and what makes it stand out is the fact that how easy it is to access the web content via stylus pen along with the huge screen size. Downloading of data is fast too - peaking at a speed of up to 42Mbps. Wi-Fi direct, dual band, DLNA and Wi-Fi hot spot are some of the features that the users can enjoy as part of the tethering capabilities.

Memory

The internal memory of 32GB should be sufficient for most users to keep a hulking amount of data but incase that is not the case, there is a provision for further memory expansion. The microSD card slot for the smartphone has a 128GB limit, which is as good as it gets while this coupled with the 50GB cloud storage space, further makes storing data a no-sweat scenario. With a RAM of 3GB, there would be absolutely no sluggishness with the system running the most demanding games and apps with ease.

Other Features

There is no device that is better equipped to run some of the most powerful games and apps that Android ever had to offer. This can be attributed simply due to the brilliant hardware and software capabilities of the device including 3GB RAM, quad-core and octa-core processors. Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system is as good as it gets and is home to the latest apps and games in the form of Virtual Table Tennis 2, Cricket 2014, Contra, NFS, Asphalt etc.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a powerful 3220mAh standard lithium-ion battery, which is not a significant improvement from the previous editions of the Note series but is still high enough. What is different with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the fact that it takes less time to charge than before and lasts for a longer duration even in the face of intense multimedia activities.

Connectivity

It is always desirable to have faster means to exchange data with other gadgets and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 provides features like Infrared port, microUSB port, NFC, USB host and USB on-the-go. There is Bluetooth as well for faster wireless data exchange but NFC still is the best means should the other device has the same compatibility as well.

Other Features

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has an exciting battle with Apple iPhone 6 Plus with the latter finally coming out with its very own phablet. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7 inches display whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5 inches screen. Apple iPhone 6 Plus comes with Retina display technology whereas Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a Super AMOLED display. The pixel density is 515ppi for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 whereas the same is 326ppi for Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The 8 megapixels primary camera of Apple iPhone 6 Plus may be half the strength of 16 megapixels primary camera of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on paper, but the former imposes its superiority over the latter.

The secondary camera has 3.7 megapixels strength with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 1.2 megapixels secondary camera. There is no microSD card slot with iPhone 6 Plus but it comes with three versions namely, 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 128GB microSD card slot along with 32GB of internal memory. Both the devices have the fingerprint sensor technology. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system whereas Apple iPhone 6 Plus runs on iOS 8 operating system. Apple iPhone 6 Plus uses a cyclone dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM whereas Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs on an octa-core and a quad-core processor chipset along with 3GB of RAM.

Other Features

September 9, 2014: Samsung has launched the latest edition of the Note series called Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which is surely going to be a serious competitor for the recently announced Apple iPhone 6 Plus.  Samsung Galaxy Note 4 should be available in the coming few months and audiences would be eagerly waiting for the same. The phablet features a 5.7 inches display and a hardware that holds an octa-core and a quad-core processor chipset under its belt. The Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system running device has a 16 megapixels primary camera and a 3.7 megapixels front camera at the front for faster and high quality photography. Although, there is no information on the price of the smartphone, we would be surprised if the gadget does not hit the Rs.50,000 mark at least. The highlights of the device are as follows:

*        5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen

*        Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system

*        Octa-core processor + quad-core processor

*        16 megapixels primary camera + 3.7 megapixels secondary camera

*        3GB RAM

*        32GB internal memory + 128GB microSD card slot

*        3220mAh standard lithium-ion battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review

At this point, the Galaxy Note line needs little introduction. After all, the Galaxy Note is Samsungs biggest success in mobile. While Apple redefined the smartphone and tablet segment, Samsung defined the phablet segment. Despite widespread skepticism, the original Galaxy Note was a massive success. Combined with the Galaxy S2, 2011 was a watershed year for Samsung as they leapfrogged other Android OEMs. Since then, weve seen continuous improvement from year to year with each Galaxy Note. The best Android phablet rules with a pen

To stylus or not to stylus, that is the question. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4's S-Pen -- the narrow stylus tucked handily inside Samsung's surprisingly successful, giant 5.7-inch Galaxy Note phone -- stands out in a crowd. No other popular phone comes with a stylus, and this one makes the most of its mouselike properties, and an ability to write and draw on the screen. Every day, I've used it instinctively to jot a list or note, and to keep the screen clean from finger smudges. The Note 4's specs Read full Review

The best phone in today's market - A mini laptop.
by Rajesh K on 2014-10-27

I have been using Note 4(white) for more than a month.

Pros:
-Multitasking made easy. All inbuilt apps(incl. WhatsApp, Facebook, EverNote) supports multiple Pop up window feature.
-4G/LTE support for india.
-Touch response is excellent.
-Music: Sound quality is extremely good.
-Different customizable screenshot techniques, converts "text in the image" to editable text.
-S pen: New features added. Can write like a pen with less pressure. Easy selection of the text and images using S-pen with a single click.
-Camera: Great image quality with both Rear and Front camera, OIS, Different types of Selfie's (using front and rear camera).
-Private Mode: Hides Images/Videos/My Files and doesn't show anywhere in the mobile, can be unlocked using Fingerprint scanner.
-SideKey Panel: This is a small pop up window at any side of the screen with all the 3 bottom buttons (Options|Home|Recent Apps and one customizable app). This feature avoids usage of physical buttons.

-Battery backup: On continuos usage of 3g internet, moderate music and calls, battery lasted for 15 hours with still 20% battery remaining.
(Without Power saving mode): Battery lasts for more than 20 hours on average calls/internet/music. This is awesome for high end phones like this.
There are different normal power saving modes, through which we can save even more battery.
-Ultra Power Saving mode: Samsung claims 15 days battery backup on 100% charge, minimum 2 days battery backup on 10% battery (haven't tried).
-Adaptive Fast Charger: This is added advantage for this mobile. Charges to 50% in 30-40 mins and 100% in max 90 mins, inspite of its high resolution and features.
-Voice Recording: Normal mode, Interview mode, Meeting mode and Voice memo modes are available for recording.
Cons:
-Over price.
-Multi window feature available only for In built apps and few other standard apps.
-Finger print scanner: can be used with limited apps. (screen unlock, private mode, web sign in and samsung account only)

A great device might not look so great paper
by JAYAKRISHNAN H on 2016-07-10

I didn't buy the phone from Flipkart, hence not a certified buyer.

Nevertheless, I would like to give an unbiased review on this beautiful device.

I have never been a fan of Samsung, cuz I have not liked the look n feel of Touchwiz (Yes, this is a personal thing)

Let's get this started, today we have this device available for under 28K INR which is amazing (eventhough it was released in 2014 end).

The best display you can see in a smartphone. QHD and Super Amoled is what you can get. It's super gorgeous!

The specs might not be as glamorous as the latest devices today such as 6GB RAM and Snapdragon820. That will obviously affect the app opening speeds between these devices, but would you really care when these differences are like 0.1-0 8 sec? The huge difference in the specs on paper wouldn't be evident in regular usage.
All huge 3D games and apps work buttersmooth. There isn't that difference between the 32bit processor in Note4 and the latest 64bit ones. Maybe 2 years later we might see some minor differences, but still these things are not as serious n huge as people say.

I have read a review saying Android L and M are optimised for 64bit processors. Well, I have updated my device to M and now its running on L without a glitch. So that kind of conception is absolutely senseless.

Moving on to the Camera, this device had the best camera in 2014. But today it's not the best, obviously. But for this price, the top device like OnePlus3 and Leeco LeMax2 are the only competitors for Note4. Honestly they are not much better, but they provide slightly better results than Note4. The front camera, yes it's not amazing yet it's not disappointing too.

Coming to Video recording, I'm still amazed how Note4 beats the latest devices such as OnePlus3, Mi5 and LeMax2. It's was very surprising. I wouldn't include the Galaxy S7/edge and LG G5 devices because they cost 2 times today's Note 4's price.

Battery backup is at its best after the 6.0.1 update. You won't charge your device twice a day unless you are a gamer. And hey, we have fast charging here too. 0-60% in 30 minutes. Like you would be knowing, most of the flagship devices find it hard to keep the battery drain low during sleep. Well, touchwiz is much loaded than stock android, but somehow it doesn't hurt the battery during sleep :) .

Going into the build and design, we have the IR blaster which can work with any of your home appliances. I really thought it would be of bo use, but you'd realise the convenience once you start usin it. It doesn't have an all metal body like today's latest devices. The fingerprint sensor is fast, but you need to swipe over it (unlike just placing your finger on it in today's devices).

Another drawback I'd like to point out is that the rear camera is bumped outside, and the protective glass cover broke. So be careful since the camera glass cover can't take huge impacts. I would also like to point out that the speakers are loud enough, but since they're placed on the Rear, they get easily muffled.

Video Playback: You don't need to install a third party video player. The stock player supports all gestures and subtitles. Playing a 4K video is a breeze.

This is Galaxy Note. Its different than other android devices. Wanna know why? Bcuz this is a Note! The S Pen is simply unique. It'll make you start using it. The pen sensitivity is much better than in Note3, the Note4 has additionally a pressure sensor which enhances the handwriting. The S Pen aircommand UI is updated as you can see in a Note5

Winding it up, a Stunning Display, Great Battery backup, Good Camera and a performance (don't look at the specs) which never lets you down at this pricetag is absolutely worthy.

You will never find a device with a better display. But if you want you're device to have the 6GB RAM, sd 820processor and a latest fingerprint scanner you might look for another option.

All said, the Galaxy Note4 will not let you down evem if your friends have the latest big boys. This is just a validation that the specs simply put on paper are not what you see while using it.

Thanks for reading it, please let your response by clicking "helpful"/"not helpful". Cheers!

Still the Best Samsung and Android... ever.
by Ameet Deshpande on 2015-11-05

I got this for 34999 from WS Retail recently.

Packaging-10/10
Flipkart & WS Retail -10/10
Product-10/10

Undoubtedly this still is the best Samsung and Android phone ever made and released.
S6,S6 edge and Note 5 fail before the Note 4 due to non replaceable and horrible battery, removed SD card support and glass back which can cost a fortune if you drop your phone.

IMP: The Note 4 now comes with 5.0.1 installed out of box. I reverted to 4.4.4 using Odin. Kitkat is so much better. Downgrading is as simple as 1,2,3.. Knox wont get triggered and everything works seamlessly on Kitkat....I like the Note 4 better with Kitkat than on LP.

In terms of battery life, Note 4 beats S6,S6 edge and Note 5, S5, S4 and all other samsungs and many other flagships HANDS DOWN even though the Display is Quad HD screen. 3220maH is more than you need. Ultra power saving is another awesome feature of the Note 4 extending battery life of the phablet.

In terms of speed the Note 4 with the SnpDrgn 805 @ 2.7GHz with 3GB Ram is far more than what is required and will be for a long time to come. Plus Android M is coming for sure for Note 4.

Camera is absolutely outstanding for still shots and video. Audio output in V.Rec is fantastic; thanks to the 3 mics on the Note 4.
Pictures are crisp, vivid with tons of details and OIS helps a lot in low light.

Finger scanner in Note 4 is not and good as the S6,S6 edge and Note 5 but it works for me at all times.

S-Pen is a magical wand in the Note 4 which has terrific use and utility. Not to forget that on Note 5 you can break the stylus and the Spen feature if inserted wrongly. For that purpose Note 4 wins over Note 5 as S-Pen is safer in Note 4.

The feel of the phone in hand on Note 4 is an absolute delight and premium.

The Display is one of the best displays ever. The screen magically get ultra bright in Sunlight increasing the legibility which is a very unique feature of the Note 4 . It can get very dim at night so the display is Best there is and more than what you could have asked for.

Call Quality, Speaker output is Awesome. Music is stunning and there are tons of features to explore.

ONLY DRAWBACK is the rounded edge screen because of which very few tempered glass screen protectors can be used without the HALO effect. Other than this, the phone has no flaw whatsoever.

Also I got it for 34,999/- which according to me is a steal deal on Fliplkart. WS Retail delivered an absolute genuine phone at awesome price for which they deserve a praise.

You dont need to root the Note 4 and un-rooted it performs damn well...Just disable the apps you wont use.

Last - You cannot go wrong with the Note 4. It is the BEST thing that Samsung Ever made.

Note 4 is the best at present BUT READ THIS FULLY AND DECIDE
by Vikram Raj on 2014-12-04

I don't want to compare any other brands and mock them. In Today's Market Note 4 is the best in class. I will be honest in this user review and you decide what is best for you after reading this. Samsung needs to reduce the price for sure. The Price is way too much at this point to buy.

I used the Note 3 for almost 10 months. The Note 4 is improved in all the areas but Is it time to upgrade?? I WILL LET YOU DECIDE.
The note 4 's biggest changes from Note 3

1. QUAD HD 2K (2560X1440) SCREEN IS GORGEOUS BUT 4K SCREENS ON MOBILE IS ON THE CORNER SO within next May 2015 we may get 4k screens on mobile with 64bit processors from Snapdragon so why upgrade?. So this quad HD thing is SUPERB but only for the new purchasers not for upgrades. Another minus is lack of USB 3.0 which was awesome in note 3.

SCREEN SENSITIVITY- Samsung has increased screen sensitivity 200 percent. Now the Stylus is very very responsive and the screen captures even the slightest of touches made by the stylus compared to the slight lag in Note 3.

ADAPTIVE FAST CHARGING IS AWESOME. 0-42 percent charge reached in 30 minutes, Full charge was achieved in 1 hour 12 minutes. Where as note 3 with USB 3.0 took 2 hours and 2 minutes to reach full charge. The battery backup is amazing. it lasts a easy 14 hours with heavy usage.

METAL BODY IS SUPERB - Hats off to Samsung for finally bringing a premium feel to the phone after years of plastic.

4G COMPATIBILTY IN INDIA IS SUPER. It works with Airtel and Indian bands 2300Mhz called TD LTE along with International 4G compatibility. The speed I got is 30 Mbps Download and 7 Mbps upload. Get a USIM and Enjoy. Since this is factory unlocked. You can use it in all International 4G bands.

TOUCHWIZ IS A MAJOR CHANGE touchwiz is very smooth and hatsoff to samsung for finally giving a lag free OS.

For phone to have these much Software enhancements and sensors and A HUGE TOO MUCH PRICE TAG OF 57-58K. we definitely WANTED A WATERPROOF AND DUST PROOF PHONE. But Samsung has let us down big time here. Why I am saying is
The heart rate sensors, The IR blaster, UV sensors need protection when we go outside. When jogging OR IN FULL SUNLIGHT OR DURING RAIN . THERE IS A HUGE POSSIBILITY OF SWEAT OR RAIN AFFECTING THE PHONE.

THE MAJOR POINT FOR ALL CUSTOMERS WHO WISH TO BUY. READ THIS VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE
--> It's coming with Snapdragon 805 32-bit and not the 64-bit Exynos 5433 processor which International markets get. I am not saying this is not fast. This is VERY FAST but The advantage of 64 bit:
1. The upcoming OS Android L needs 64 bit processors FOR 64 BIT apps. In future all apps will be redesigned for 64-bit processors. You will have to spend again to upgrade to 64 bit
2.Another big difference between 32-bit processors and 64-bit processors is the maximum amount of memory (RAM) that is supported. 32-bit systems can support a maximumof 3-4GB RAM, where as a 64-bit processor can support memory of over 4GB RAM. A 64-bit processor can run 32-bit apps without any issues but a 32-bit system can never run a 64-bit app. 64-bit is also important for apps that use graphical engineering design, video editing .ITS NOT A DRAW BACK. BUT YOU DECIDE IT FOR YOURSELVES WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU.
The snapdragon 800 or 801 users cannot find a major difference from 805. its VERY FAST AND GOOD for now but not 64-bit. International markets get exynos 64-bit 5433 processor. The antutu benchmark also rates the exynos 64-bit version of note 4 much higher than snapdragon 805 32-bit.

OIS - OPTICAL IMAGE STABILISATION( best upgrade from note 3and Wide angle selfie is a major boost. SLO-MO - slow motion is very good too.

FINGER PRINT SENSOR- works better than Galaxy S5 but needs lot of improvements in its use and utility like its Rival.

MY PLAN IS TO WAIT FOR GALAXY UNTIL THE 64BIT SNAPDRAGON 810 COMES AND 4K SCREEN COMES. Right now you won't find a big difference if you use note 3. I am an extreme user. Even I FOUND the Note 3 sufficient. Note 4 is exceptional but buy it only if you have an old phones of 2010 or 12 or you want a change OR EXTRA BUCKS. else you can wait for the next galaxy.

I DONT REGRET ONE MOMENT PURCHASING NOTE 4 BUT You might realise note 3 is more than enough at present but its only my view. If you are lg or apple user and want a new phone with new experience. I would advise you to go for note 4 immediately just to find the awesomeness of the features Note 4 offers. But for note 3 users upgrading to note 4 especially at this HUGE price is not wise. Note 3 stylus is very sufficient

MY VERDICT - NOTE 4 STANDS ABOVE ALL THE RIVALS AT PRESENT. GO FOR IT WHEN THE PRICE IS BROUGHT DOWN TO 45-50K

NEVER THOUGHT SAMSUNG WAS THIS AWESOME!!!
by BALAJI R on 2015-07-09

Firstly I have to appreciate Flipkart for their committed one day delivery. The phone was delivered to me the next day before lunch. Was just awesome.

As it was an online purchase, i was bit skeptical about the genuineness of the product like most of the online shopping freaks out there. But found out that all seals were intact and confirmed it is original, as the phone was detected by smart switch and received OTA updates for lollipop. Genuineness is assured from WS Retail as far as my experience so far is concerned. Price was the cheapest compared to any other sites when i bought this phone. Hats off for that.

Now lets come to the phone part...
I was confused between S6 and Note 4 and finally decided to go with Note 4 for some additional features like s-pen, 5.7 inch screen etc. WOW!!! is one word in which i can describe the mobile.. What a build quality and what a sexy look. Its one of the Ms.Universe contestant from Samsung's stable combined with a beastly performance.
Pros:
*Build quality (Metal) is beyond explainable. Its too good sturdy and beautiful at the same time. Especially the bronze gold colour compliments it's bold design.Back cover is also awesome and gives a sensual feel holding the device.
The 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 is one of the best design i have seen. From any angle you look at the phone, it's beauty is self explanatory.
*Brilliant 5.7 inches QHD display which makes anyone say WOW with their 1st look. The crispness even in a black background is irresistible. The viewing angles were awesome. Even when seen from 300 + degree, the screen is clearly visible. Cheers to 2,5D Gorilla glass and QHD display. The screen size is one big differentiator between Note 4 & S6.
*Camera clarity is very good. Especially with OIS, which gives a awesome picture clarity even in low light. Videos are also of ultimate qualty. Features like slo-mo are fun.
*Heart rate sensor, UV sensor are really working great.
*Adaptive fast charging is just awesome. It achieves 0 to 100% in less than 1.5 hrs which is great.
*Battery backup lasts for a day with average usage (5 hrs wifi, 2-3 hrs calls, frequent exploring of mobile)
*4g connectivity
*Touchwiz is optimized and is so smooth.
*Snapdragon 805 processor which makes this beast beastly.
*IR blaster is so good and i'm using my Note 4 for operating my TV and set-top box. It also reminds me of my favorite programmes.
*Last but not the least, the USP of Note 4, s-pen is at its best. The sensitivity and the pressure levels are just beyond explainable. Feels like writing in a paper itself. This is one of the major factor that made me purchase Note 4 than S6.
Cons:
Not much really. But few things could have been:
*No 64bit processor.
*Fingerprint sensor could have been better (Like one in S6).
*Being a flagship and premium price range, Water and dust proof could have been added.
Finally, i never or will never regret for buying this phone and its worth every penny spent.

Love my Note 4 (Bronze gold Note 4 has become my dream phone) and Love You Samsung for making my 1st Samsung phone an outstanding one.

Superb value for Money
by Armstrong Miranda on 2016-08-27

I purchased Samsung Note 4 from Flipkart on 18th August, 2016, as there was a flat 9000 rupees discount. I waited till they announced the Note 7 specifications. I compared the specifications with Note 5 and even Note 7 and the Note 4 won over them because of the following reasons:

1. Metal Body and robust built , unlike Note 5 and 7
2. Removable battery and option for Micro SD card to expand storage (up-gradable to 256 GB) compared to Note 5's inbuilt battery and non-expandable storage. Note 7 has the same features as of Note 4
3. Android Marshmallow operating system and up-gradable to Android Nougat when it is out
4. All the three mobile phones have 1440 x 2560 pixels (~518 ppi pixel density)as their screen resolution
5. 16 MP main camera compared to 16 MP and 12 MP main camera in Note 5 and Note 7 respectively
6. Bigger battery than the Note 5 's built in battery and with 90h endurance rating compared to Note 5's 85h and Note 7's 90h
7. Note 4 has a leather like back cover which is quite resistant to scratches , when the Note 5 and Note 7 has glass back which leaves scratches easily and is prone to break when falls on concrete floor and much expensive to replace

The only Disadvantages are:
1. 3 GB RAM when compared to the Note 5 and Note 7's 4 GB RAM
2. The one that is available in India comes with Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 - Snapdragon 805, while the Note 5 and Note 7 comes with Octa-core (4x2.1 GHz & 4x1.5 GHz ) and Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz & 4x1.6 GHz) respectively

By the end of the day, I think it's worth to buy this phone for 27,900 rupees after the FlipKart's 9000 rupees flat discount and you are paying less then half of the price for a Note 7 but with most of the specs from Note 5 and Note 7

I have been using this phone for the past one week and I love the built quality and also the performance of the phone

32 Bit vs 64bit Comment
by Sharath Chandran on 2015-07-27

The below is the funniest comment I have read. Found this in one of the reviews for Note 4.
"1. The upcoming OS Android L needs 64 bit processors FOR 64 BIT apps. In future all apps will be redesigned for 64-bit processors. You will have to spend again to upgrade to 64 bit"
If the above is true, then why would Nexus 6 come up with a 32 Bit processor. Nexus is supposed to be the Benchmark Android device and all new OS updates lands first on it. 64 Bit processor just lets you handle more data transfer on to processor at any given time. That results in a slightly improved performance. Apps don't have to be 64 bit for that unlike in computers.
Do some research before you post an expert review and Mislead people.

Note 4 IS THE BEST in Market
by Vikram Raj on 2014-10-25

I don't want to compare any other brands and mock them. In Today's Market Note 4 is the best in class. I will be honest in this user review and you decide what is best for you after reading this. Samsung needs to reduce the price for sure. The Price is way too much at this point to buy.
I used the Note 3 for almost 10 months. The Note 4 is improved in all the areas but Is it time to upgrade?? It's your call..

A great device might not look very great on paper
by JAYAKRISHNAN H on 2016-07-10

I didn't buy the phone from Flipkart, hence not a certified buyer.

Nevertheless, I would like to give an unbiased review on this beautiful device (I have a Gold variant).

Thanks for reading it, please let your response by clicking the helpful/not helpful button.

Cheers!

Note 4 is the best at present BUT READ THIS FULLY AND YOU DECIDE
