After a series of conjectures, Nikon has finally launched the Nikon Z5, an entry-level, full-frame mirrorless camera. The Z5 will join the Z series, of which, the Z6 & Z7 were introduced last year. This moderated version of the Z6 doesn’t come easy on the pocket. The price for the Z5 has been set at a whopping INR 1,13,995. Nikon also introduced a NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 camera lens, priced at INR 39,995. Coming to the specs, the Z5 is said to be a perfect blend of the Z6 & Z7. With both automated & manual controls, the Z5 is a power-packed offering for beginners who want to learn the craft and pursue it. The Z5 features a 24-MP CMOS sensor and is equipped with the optical performance of the Z mount system. The Z5 comes with a 273-focus point2 hybrid autofocus (AF) system, high-sensitivity image processing, and a maximum standard sensitivity of ISO 51200. It also has Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF3 ability. The camera packs 20 preset options & a VR (Vibration Reduction) for steady imaging. Coming to the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens, it is perfect for wide-angle and zoom shots. It is a full-frame compatible with mirrorless cameras. It is extremely light-weight at only 195gm. It is the perfect travel lens as it is also weather-proof. Moreover, it features a button-less retractable mechanism. The availability of these products has been announced. Both the camera & the lens go on sale starting 27th July’20.
