OnePlus 9R 5G May Be The First Gaming Smartphone By The Company

OnePlus has dropped a new teaser of the low-end variant of the OnePlus 9 series named OnePlus 9R and the smartphone is most probably going to be the first gaming smartphone by the company.

OnePlus 9 series is all set to make a debut in India. It has been already revealed that the smartphone series will have a low-end variant named OnePlus 9R. The smartphone will support 5G connectivity. However, it will not feature the Hasselblad camera that will be available in the other two variants of the smartphone.

A new teaser of the OnePlus 9R has been launched today. The trailer has dropped the hints that OnePlus 9R 5G could be the first gaming smartphone by OnePlus. In the teaser, you can’t see the smartphone entirely but still one can easily spot gaming triggers attached to it. More it can also be seen that the smartphone has the power button on the right side of the smartphone. As of now, it cannot be confirmed that the gaming triggers are the only accessories that will be a part of OnePlus 9R or there are more surprises to come.

OnePlus 9R is going to get a 6.5 inch FHD+ display with a 90HZ refresh rate. The smartphone will most probably run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor and will operate on the latest Android 11 operating system. The smartphone will have an 8GB RAM that will be paired with 256GB internal storage. It will not have any expandable memory. Speculations are that the smartphone will also have a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, OnePlus 9R will rock a dual rear camera set up including a 64MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera. There is no rigid details regarding the front camera specs of the smartphone. It may pack a 5000 mAh battery that will go on for a whole day even after extensive use. The smartphone will also support 30W charging that will completely charge it from zero to 100% in less than 2 hours.
