Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Smart TV X series in India today. The smartphone range starts from Rs 32,999 for the 50-inch model. All the smart TVs have a 4K HDR LED display. The smart TV X series is based on the latest Android TV 10 operating system. The Redmi Smart TV X supports HDR up to 12-bit Dolby Vision.
To avoid any clashes between sub-brands, Xiaomi is expected to sell the Redmi TVs at an affordable range and Mi TVs at mid-ranged and premium prices with high-end specifications. However, the high-end variant of Redmi TV will cross the mark of Rs 40,000 at which almost all the companies offer affordable large screen TVs with top-notch specifications.
