Sony launches the Sony Alpha 1 Mirrorless Camera equipped with 8K recording

Dubbed as the most robust and innovative camera by Sony yet, the Alpha 1 Mirrorless Camera has now been revealed in India. It packs a 50.1 Megapixel full-frame stacked Exmor RS image sensor. It also has the ability of up to 8K 30fps video recording with AE/AF tracking. An AI-based real-time tracking technology helps the camera to automatically maintain focus. The Alpha also comes with an OLED quad-XGA electronic viewfinder, and the company claims its advanced Real-time Eye AF performs 30 percent better than its predecessor. The Alpha 1 uses Sony’s flagship BIONZ XR engine for image processing. Apart from that, it has a 50.1-megapixel 35mm full-frame stacked CMOS sensor and is also equipped with a fast hybrid auto-focus. An ISO range of 100 to 32,000 allows you to capture in any lighting condition. It takes care of image stabilization with an image-sensor shift mechanism with 5-axis compensation and includes a long exposure noise reduction feature as well. Talking of storage and connectivity, the Sony Alpha 1 has two slots with support for SD card, SDHC card (UHS-I/ II-compliant), SDXC card (UHS-I/ II-compliant), and CFexpress Type A card. It supports connectivity via a Micro-USB, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, 3.5mm mic terminal, and a LAN terminal. A USB Type-C port supports fast SuperSpeed USB 10-Gbps (USB 3.2) data transfer speeds and power delivery. In terms of the price point, currently, the Sony Alpha is priced at $6,498 (roughly Rs. 4.73 lakh) in the US. The listing on the Indian website as of yet says “Available Soon”, with no information on the pricing.
