Vivo launches the X50 Series in India with Gimbal Camera Setup : Price, specs & Features

Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro have been launched in India as the company's latest flagship smartphones.
•The Vivo X50 price in India has been set at Rs. 34,990 for the 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB storage option carries a price tag of Rs. 37,990
•The Vivo X50 Pro price is set at Rs. 49,990 for the lone 256GB storage variant.
•The phones will be available for purchase starting July 24, whereas the pre-bookings open today via a host of offline and online retailers including Reliance Digital, Croma, Flipkart, Amazon, Vijay Sales, Paytm Mall, and Tata Cliq.
Both new models come with a hole-punch display and include features such as 3D SoundTracking, Audio Zoom, and Super Night Mode 3.0. The Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro both also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the part of major distinction, the Vivo X50 Pro packs a proprietary Gimbal Camera System that helps stabilize the frame for capturing clear still images and videos. The phone also has a curved display design.

Launch offers on the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro include a cashback worth up to Rs. 4,000 for HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank cardholders. Furthermore, there is also an assured buyback of up to 65 percent under the Vivo Reward and Upgrade application.
In addition to the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro, Vivo has launched the TWS Neo as its newest truly wireless earbuds with a price tag of Rs. 5,990.
The X50 Pro Specifications
Software
The Vivo X50 Pro runs on Android 10-based Funtouch OS 10.5 out of the box and supports dual-SIM (Nano) support. The handset packs a 6.56-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with curved edges, 1,080 x 2,376 pixels resolution, 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC, paired with Adreno 620 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB storage under the hood.
Camera
The Vivo X50 Pro features a quad-camera setup at the back that comprises a 48MP main sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 13MP portrait sensor with f/2.46 aperture, an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/3.4 aperture, and finally, an 8MP macro camera with f/2.2 aperture. Upfront, the handset rocks 32MP shooter for selfies and video calling. Camera features include night view, night portrait, panorama, dynamic photo, slow motion, short video, professional mode, time-lapse photography, super moon, AR cute shoot document correction, OIS anti-shake, EIS video anti-shake, and host of other features.
The Vivo X50 Pro has a Gimbal Camera System for exceptionally stable photo and video capturing. While shooting video, an on-screen animated ball called the Gimbal Rada shows the gimbal’s movement to let users know when the frame is stable. The handset houses a 4,315mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Connectivity options include SA and NSA 5G, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and more. Lastly, the Vivo X50 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
The X50 Specifications
The Vivo X50 has similar features as the Pro model, including 33W fast charging tech and a 6.56-inch full-HD+ AMOLED 90Hz display. The phone comes powered with a Snapdragon 730 Chipset VS the Snapdragon 765G of that from the X50 Pro. Also, the phone lacks the gimbal camera system, HDR10+ support, and packs a 4200 mAh battery.
The Camera module however features 48MP quad rear cameras with a 5MP macro sensor instead of an 8MP sensor.
