Whirlpool has introduced the Voice & Wi-Fi Enabled 3D cool Inverter AC, with Google Assistant integration.
Whirlpool’s latest innovation allows you to control their AC through a handy mobile app remotely or instruct your Google Home device to set the right temperature or modes.
There are a host of other commands that let you set the swing settings, reduce or increase the temperature, even set the timer through Google Assistant, which pairs this Wi-Fi enabled AC to a Google Home device on the same Wi-Fi connection.
In the absence of a Google Home device, a quick download of the Whirlpool Live App allows you next to full control of the Wi-Fi enabled AC. You don’t need to be in the vicinity either; the app functions just as well when you’re on the move as it does at home. All that’s required is a stable internet connection.
The Google Assistant link is easily set up through the Whirlpool and Google Home apps. All you need to do is connect your AC to the Whirlpool account and say to Google Home: “OK Google, ask Whirlpool to link my account”. Click on the Google Home app, tap ‘Discover’ and then ‘Link’. Sign in using your Whirlpool account, et voila! You can now start using Google Home to give commands to your AC.
