From building bleeding-edge tech to innovating new ways of making electronics more accessible to human beings, Samsung has always outdone itself in the era of smartphones. No wonder, even Apple uses their screens, although they're not so proud of it, lol. This time, Samsung has done it with their innovative flagship, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, announced with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Blending the beauty of the big screen with compactibility of pocket-size, Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 is an upgrade for folding-phone enthusiasts. First reviews of the phone is already out by many YouTubers and they all have mixed feelings. Let's not further wait and get into it.

Featurette

Season of thick is back, with the unfolded thickness of 14.4-16mm, one has to bear the weight of 271g to enjoy this big beast. While in unfolded mode, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 holds 6.4mm thickness and 7.6 inches gigantic screen with an 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. The best thing they could have done and they did too was to give a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic AMOLED on both the screens (folded and unfolded). The processing power of the phone is fueled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G which will run One UI 3.5 on top of Android 11. The UFS 3.1 storage maxes out to 512GB paired with 12GB RAM.

Optics Array

Camera, the game-changer of the mobile industry right now is the focus pinpoint of every flagship. Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 holds a primary camera setup array of 3 cameras each of 12 MP but having different configurations of one wide, one ultra-wide, and one telephoto. The jewel in their crown is the 'under-display' dual camera of 16MP and 10MP wide camera, which can shoot 4k and 1080p videos at 30 fps. The handset engulfs a 4400mAh battery that will keep the horses running all day long or else you got fast charging at 25W and wireless charging at 11W. Being not a selfless device, it also got reverse wireless charging at 4.5W.

All in all, the device is also IPX8 certified which surely gets the hopes high of its users. Samsung is really anticipating for this thing to work as its predecessor didn't quite run the show. Let's keep our fingers crossed and wait for either Samsung to get liked or to get punched in the face by its competitors.
