I had this worst experience with shopping.indiatimes.com, I ordered a book from them and it was dated to be delivered on 5th June. The courier person made the delivery around a week late. He did not deliver the book because the receipt he had, showed the amount without discount. I ordered it just because of the heavy offer and at the end I had to pay the full amount to avoid the running around and throwing e-mails from one head to another. A long , futile wait made my experience with this online store pathetic. Only later I came to know that an aunt in my neighbour ordered a food processor which was to deliver in 3-4 business days. It was not delivered until 10 days, after which they cancelled her order stating that the food processor, she booked, was out of their stock. It is tolerable till here, the irritating part is that her money is still yet not refunded. It is now more than 2 months since the order was cancelled. If you view the Birthday card section on their website, almost every card is out of stock. Either their site is not updated or their stock is not updated. I advise to go to the market and dedicate your some hours there rather than shopping from shopping.indiatimes.com.

Indiatimes is one of the oldest online shopping sites. I keep getting notifications on my mail for getting registered or referring people or some news about their new arrivals. But I had never tried online shopping because I find it boring and not so enthusiastic like real shopping. One of my friends however ended up convincing me in trying out online shopping. She also gave me a huge list of online shopping sites. As Indiatimes was something always on my mind, I tried it out. I was as such looking for a branded mobile phone and ordered one through Indiatimes. This turned out to be a good shopping experience, good and correct information about the dispatch, no follow ups required and timely delivery. Now I am a regular shopper on Indiatimes, but I am afraid that I don’t get addicted to this site due to my freaky and shopaholic nature. My first step towards online shopping did not turn out to be futile. This site has a wide range of choices for all ages, all kinds of products and all at a reasonable price. Choosing this site has reduced my tension to a great extent and saved a lot of time.

The site has all the categories which the customer is looking for. The watch costs me only 500 after 50% off with the shipping cost of Rs 49. The site has added various option regarding payment like you can either pay through f interest free EMI basis or through easy payment cash on delivery. The services are really nice though the shipping time is more but still they deliver the original product without any manufacturing defect and if its so then assures you the manufacturing warranty. Also you can access shipment facility available in your area or not by entering your pin code.

Indiatimes is a popular shopping website, preferred by almost all the online shoppers in India. Even I have trusted this site, whenever I had to go for online purchasing. The bad reviews worried me for a while about buying from Indiatimes but at the end of the day, I was carried on with the opinion that it is the user who has to be aware while buying something. As it has been rightly said ‘Caveout Emptor,' i.e., let the buyer beware. I have been ordering ample number of products from Indiatimes like accessories, books, cameras, clothings and a lot more products which enhanced my trust on this online shopping portal. Mostly I had opted for payment at the time of delivery because it seems to be the safest mode to me, but this doesn't mean that other payment modes are not worthy to be used. I have always got my product on time except from a few cases when I had to make a call to customer care executive to register my complaints. My problems have always been answered on time with due care. After sales service, such as changing the product, defective product repairing within warranty, etc., is satisfactory.
